Gavin Underwater Scooter; supplied with short and long bodied hulls, batteries and charger.

The Gavin Scooter needs no introduction. For years it has been the backbone of record-breaking cave penetrations in the US and elsewhere and is a very robust and reliable piece of equipment. I have been using the scooter since 2002 and have made dives as deep as 120mtrs on the Britannic.

For you purists out there; be advised, both hulls [long and short] on this scooter are custom and are 100mm longer than standard. This was by design to make the DPV +ive buoyant as I used it as a mount for my video camera which was 1kg or so –ive. The scooter makes an excellent video mount as it’s mass helps maintain a stable platform and ensure panning is smooth and steady. It is obviously easy to run the DPV without the camera by simply adding ballast/trim weight as required. I will supply the scooter with the short body trimmed & balanced perfectly for freshwater and supply an additional trim weight for saltwater, so it will be good to go.

The nose cone and tail are totally standard and will therefore interface and interchange with other Gavin scooter in and combination.

Specs:

Short Body:            17a/hr Batteries, 24v wound, 50-60minutes on full power
Long Body:            26a/hr Batteries, 24v wound, 90-100minutes on full power

Charger:            Interactor 110/240v Automatic Charger [wired with a 240v UK spec plug]

Dry Weight
Short Body:            30kg Dry
Long Body:            36kg Dry

Due to the weight shipping is a small fortune, so I suggest that pick-up is the only option, unless you use their own courier (at the buyers risk, I can take no responsibility)

All sales are final
